The Next Big Thing Blog Hop

The talented Michael Rupured has tagged me in this zany, bouncy thing called The Next Big Thing blog hop.  It's a world-wide blogger outreach giving authors the chance to talk about their WIPs.  I'm pleased to be included in this HUGE event, and I hope you enjoy my foray into my current WIP.

On to the good stuff...

What is the working title of your book?
Ok, I feel like a dork...I don't have a working title yet.  *blushes* Yeah, I know, but in my defense, I don't have to submit it until June.

Where did the idea come from for the book?
This one's easy to answer...I blame Lis Craig!  LOL  She and I were having a chat about what we like in a character (i.e.-height, hair color, descriptions, habits), and before we both logged out of Facebook, I had the premise of a story knocking around in my noodle...along with a couple of pics, thanks to Lis.

What genre does your book fall under?
My book would be considered an erotic romance.  It's gonna be steamy!

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie?
That's tough.  Lis found pictures that represent body type and general appearence, but I don't know who would play them in a movie.  Maybe the gentlemen in the photos? I think it would be up to them, if they wanted to step into the roll.  I think I'll have to bring that up to Lis.  I bet she could think of someone to play the parts.

What is a one sentence synopsis of your book?
"Love knows no boundries, and age is just a number."

Will your book be self published or represented by an agency?
If this manuscript is accepted, it will be self published via the wonderful IRM group.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
I'm still working on the first draft.  *ducks* I need to pick up the pace, I know.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
I'm still a newbie at this, and I wouldn't presume to compare my story with anyone's in my genre. My hope is one day to write stories with the laughs, the tears, the warm, heartfelt love, and tenderness conveyed in the stories written by some of my favorite authors:  Eric Arvin, Tj Klune, Sean Michael, and Josh Lanyon to name a few.

Who or What inspired you to write this book?
Lis Craig.  I'm writing this one because she had an idea and I promised to write the type of story she likes to read. I hope *fingers crossed* I do all of them justice!

What else about your book might interest the reader?
Have I mentioned the HEA? Or the young, hot shot architect that has a filter problem whenever he's around his boss' best friend, and the lead backer on his current project at work? Or the bear of a man having issues with the age difference between himself and the hot shot with the 'brain-to-mouth' filter?
